About Me

My photo
Hey, guys! I made this blog as part of a photography class I'm taking. I'm super excited to learn about editing pictures, and I hope you'll let me know what you think of my work! Thanks!

Color Replacement

This photo was taken on September 25th at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, and my camera was set to no flash.

I cropped the image and replaced the light blue of the petals with pink. I also enhanced the shadows on the levels menu, adjusted the input on the curves menu, added cyan, magenta, and blue on the color balance menu, and boosted the vibrance on the vibrance/saturation menu. I like the edited image a lot better because the subject is more apparent, the colors stand out more, and the yellow cast is gone.

  1. I think this picture looks really good. I think the flowers look better that color also.

  2. The purple really makes the flowers stand out. I really like how you got the flowers in focus and the background a little blurry, that also makes the flowers just stand out more. I think adding the purple to the picture is good, because the unedited photo all the colors are neutral and they kinda just blend together and adding the extra color mixes things up. (sorry kinda babbled there)=]
